LEICESTER favourite Nick Morris says everything is in place for him to rack up the points for the club again next season.
The Australian star, who has returned home for the winter, was named earlier this week as a returning rider for the Watling JCB Lions in 2023 as they move up to the Premiership.
It’s a level he has excelled at before, especially during his time with Swindon, and the Lions see his track expertise at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena as vital to their prospects.
Morris said: “I’m back in Australia now, working hard and I’ll be back in March fitter and more motivated than ever.
“I have a lot of good people in my corner to thank, and all the things to have another good season. I can’t wait to get going again.”
Morris has kept in touch with promoter Stewart Dickson since leaving the UK last month, and is pleased with developments on the team front.
He’ll be racing in the same side as fellow countryman Max Fricke next season, with well-established British stars Chris Harris and Richard Lawson also in the line-up.
Morris said: “I’m excited with the team that’s being put together, and I can’t wait for the new season with Leicester.
“It’s another big season ahead, and with everyone at Leicester it’s exciting to see what will come.
“We will be fighting for gold as usual!”
Lions fans are reminded that they can purchase 2023 season tickets at an Open Day at the stadium this Sunday (December 4) between midway-2pm.
Season tickets, which also make ideal Christmas presents, are available for £228 (Adults) and £204 (Concessions) which represents a £2 per saving per meeting on racenight admission charges.
They also include a centre green experience, a personalised team photo and a place in the draw for the winner’s name to appear on the Lions’ kevlars next season.
Sales will take place on Sunday from the hospitality boxes on the third bend at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena, and postal applications can also be made via the form on leicesterspeedway.com/ticketoffice .
